Deripaska files 1 mln rbl claim against Zyuganov for insult

MOSCOW, Jan 17 (PRIME) -- Businessman Oleg Deripaska has filed a 1 million ruble claim against head of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov over reputational damage, a representative of the businessman told PRIME on Thursday.

The official said that Zyuganov called Deripaska’s business a scheme and a criminal affair at a sitting of the State Duma, parliament’s lower chamber, on January 9.

“We qualify this statement as an impairment of dignity and a premediated attempt to cause reputational damage to both the founder of company RUSAL, and all its employees who participated in its foundation and development,” the representative said.
